Years ago I found out that I had a bulging disc between my L4/5 vertebrae. I became more aware of how I was moving, what I was doing, and especially how much I was lifting at the gym. I was told by many people that I shouldn’t lift heavy weights because it would aggravate the condition and cause further complications.

How many of us have used that excuse when making a decision to eat something we know won’t help with our weight loss goals? I have definitely done my fair share of that over the years. But is it true? Can we burn off what we eat in just one workout?
Most of us have been taught that low fat diets will improve our health, and that eating fat or high fat foods, will increase our risk of heart disease.
